Father’s Fellowship–RSVP Today!

Fourth Annual

Father’s Fellowship Evening

Thursday, April 27, 2017

Hosted by Mr. Joseph McKenney (Alumni Family)

Bedford, New York

Special Guest: Father Joseph Bisignano

The Father’s Fellowship is made up of the men of St. Patrick’s School, who come together each year for food, friendship and fundraising for the critical needs of our children’s school. We invite you to join current and alumni fathers, and special guests, at this important annual event.

The Fellowship has helped raise the funds for the construction of the Science Lab, as well as significant upgrades to school security. This year, the event will focus on funds to support scholarships that enable students to receive the benefit of a faith-focused and academically excellent St. Patrick’s education. Many would not be able to do so without this assistance. Providing scholarships improves enrollment—and supports our Catholic mission to be of service to others.

There is no minimum donation required to attend—please just bring your checkbook and a giving spirit!

RSVP by April 20 to dmonaco@stpatricksbedford.com

In addition, sponsorships are now open! This is a great way for local families and business to be a part of the fun — besides going down the giant slide or riding the giant swing — by having their name included as an event sponsor.

Individual/Family sponsorships start at just $50. Ride sponsorships start at $500 and include a sponsor-supplied sign on the side of the ride. Many sponsorships include incentives, such as discounts on rides and listing in the parish bulletin, among other benefits. Coat Drive a Community Success

Something “Warm & Wonderful” happened for the Community Center of Northern Westchester in December. The Bedford Hills Lions Club spearheaded a two week initiative, together with St. Patrick’s School, and Nicole Haindl, a Fox Lane H.S. senior, to collect much needed coats and sweaters for individuals and families in serious need.

This community service initiative is an example of what wonderful things happen when ordinary citizens, who meet by chance, take positive action on an identified need.  In a matter of minutes, a plan was formulated with a goal set at 50 coats in two-weeks time. Collection points for donations were located at Bedford Town Hall, St. Patrick’s School-Bedford, & Fox Lane HS.

According to Robert Collins, President of the Bedford Hills Lions Club, “This special donation to the Community Center of Northern Westchester helps Lions fulfill our mission of meeting the pressing needs within our community. We are grateful to students, like Nicole Haindl, community partners, and fellow Lions Clubs from the area that also rose to the challenge and contributed.  More than 200 new and gently used coats, sweaters, shirts, boots, sweatshirts, earmuffs, blankets and gloves totalling 277 pounds were collected. This is more than four times our goal.  BHLC members wish to thank everyone who participated or contributed to this important work. You are truly helping Lions make a difference in our community.”
